Residential Leasing Agent

As a Leasing Agent, you’ll be the first point of contact for prospective tenants and a key partner in driving our portfolio’s occupancy. You’ll work closely with your teammates, from Admin to Operations, to ensure every prospect is guided smoothly from first contact to move-in.
This role blends sales, service, and collaboration: you’ll manage leads, conduct showings, hand off applications to the Admin team, and provide valuable feedback to management on tenant needs and market trends.
TASKS
Collaborate & Grow Together
- Work side by side with a young, supportive team where everyone’s input matters.
- Contribute to shared occupancy targets and celebrate team achievements.
- Share insights, ideas, and best practices to help the team improve continuously.
Lead Management & Sales
- Manage incoming leads in HubSpot CRM, ensuring every prospect receives timely attention.
- Complete at least three follow-ups with each lead before closing the file.
- Schedule and conduct professional property showings.
- Transition qualified applicants smoothly to the Admin team for processing.
- Pre-lease units using virtual tools when properties are not yet constructed.
- Keep your dashboard clean and organized with up-to-date lead management.
- Provide accurate weekly reports of all leasing activity.
Customer Experience
- Deliver friendly, informative, and transparent communication to all prospects.
- Highlight property features, amenities, and rental policies clearly.
- Support prospective tenants in making confident leasing decisions.
Market & Tenant Feedback
- Share ongoing feedback on market conditions (pricing trends, promotions, competition).
- Report on tenant preferences and expectations gathered during showings.
- Suggest property improvements or upgrades to enhance leasing success and satisfaction.
Performance & Accountability
- Update the HubSpot pipeline daily (New → Contacted → Showing → Application Sent).
- Track KPIs: lead response times, showings, conversion rates, signed leases.
- Collaborate with the team during weekly performance reviews.
SKILLS
- 1–3 years of experience in leasing, sales, or customer service (real estate a plus).
- A strong team player who values collaboration over competition.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (bilingual FR/EN is an asset).
- Comfortable with technology: HubSpot, Building Stack, Smartsheet.
- Organized, proactive, and motivated by both personal and team goals.
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends for showings.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a car for property showings.
Compensation
- Base Salary: $40,000
- Commission opportunities based on leasing performance.
